The goal of the workshop is to have faculty participants develop an evidence-based teaching portfolio with a narrative of thoughtful reflection based in evidence. This teaching portfolio workshop may be used in the faculty’s development of the teaching section of a dossier for contract review. The workshop also supports the development of leadership skills relative to mentoring other faculty in the use of teaching portfolios. The long term goal of this program is to institutionalize the use of the teaching portfolio as a tool for self-reflection and improved teaching at Philadelphia University, as well as promote discussions concerning teaching and learning amongst faculty.
