At McGilberry & Shirer, we’re excited to announce our First Annual Future Lawyer Scholarship Award. Beginning in 2020, we’re awarding $1,000 to a deserving student who authors the winning submission in our essay contest.
Essay Prompt
Please write 750-1,000 words on this topic: How has the power of the president of the United States changed over the last 100 years, and has this change been good or bad?
Judging Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded to the student who best demonstrates their knowledge and passion for the subject. The winning essay will demonstrate good organization and thoughtful writing.
Submission Requirements
When: We are currently accepting submissions.
Where: Use the application form below. Fill out the required fields and attach your essay, along with a copy of your unofficial transcripts.
Deadline: The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2020.
Eligibility
To be eligible for our scholarship contest you must be enrolled in either high school or college in the United States and a legal US resident. Students with full academic scholarships are not eligible to enter this contest.
Your application must be submitted no later than the October 15, 2020 deadline. If your application is submitted after the deadline, it will not be accepted.
